If it’s one thing I’m a sucker for, it’s a good tea party. I love the scones, the daintiness, the coffee/tea, the ambiance…everything! The Pre-Emmys BAFTA Tea Party was held at the London Hotel in WeHo. So besides the blaring sun (I feel bad for celebs there who had to wear actual dresses), the event was everything a tea party should be. Guests lounged by the pool and hid under umbrellas and cabanas to catch some shade as they noshed and chatted. The Brits are so friendly, it’s sad we Americans give them a bad rap! Emilia Clarke was so sweet (her Chanel garden dress was fit for Alice in Wonderland) and my inner geek was unleashed as I shared some laughs with Dominic Monaghan (who is well, dope as hell).
While it may seem absolutely ridiculous that I chose to wear a full sleeve, chambray button down, it was actually quite airy. Besides, I was at work and needed to have some sense of formality!
My highlight was not only meeting Jesse Pinkman himself, Aaron Paul (below), but bumping into (for the millionth time) my new favorite TV celeb: Navid Negahban of Homeland. He and I crossed paths at various events that we became buddies for the past two weeks and I truly have nothing but amazing words for such a humble, sweet man!
